The best new musical of the season as far as I'm concerned, is Fame which blew into the Walnut Street Theater like a whirlwind last week.

I'm talking about Broadway as well as Philadelphia ... Yes. For me there is more new life, more of a sense of discovery, more of an immediacy to Fame ...

Fame may not be an instant classic, but in a generally down season on Broadway, it could stand pretty tall, at least by my measure.
