Gavin Creel will celebrate his debut solo recording, "Goodtimenation," with three free concerts in Manhattan.

The actor, who was seen in last season's revival of La Cage aux Folles , will play Arlene's Grocery Nov. 7 and 14 at 7:30 PM. There is no cover charge for either performance. An additional concert on Nov. 21 — location and time to be announced — is also planned.

Creel co-wrote the songs on his new CD with his producer, Robbie Roth. On his official website, Creel says, "When Robbie and I met, I told him that the kind of music I love, and the kind of music I want to make, has to be more than just notes and words. It's energy. It's connection. I want people to feel alive when they hear my music. I want to take them on a wild journey from the first breath all the way to the final chord."

Gavin Creel was most recently on Broadway playing Jean-Michel in the revival of La Cage aux Folles at the Marquis Theatre. He portrayed Hollis Bessemer in Sondheim and John Weidman's Bounce and starred as Jimmy in the Tony-winning musical Thoroughly Modern Millie (Tony nomination for Best Actor in a Musical). The actor was also seen in the City Center Encores! mounting of Hair and the Off-Broadway production of Bat Boy . His other theatrical credits include Honk! , Fame and the workshops of Spring Awakening, Hairspray and Wicked . Creel was also part of the cast of the TV films "Eloise at the Plaza" and "Eloise at Christmastime."

Arlene's Grocery is located in Manhattan at 95 Stanton Street. Visit www.arlenesgrocery.net for more information.
