Caren Lyn Manuel has joined the ensemble of High Fidelity as one of unlucky-in-love main character Rob's all-time top five desert island breakups, Sarah, a role played in the show's Boston premiere by ensemble member Justin Brill. Brill remains in the show in various other roles.

The new Amanda Green/Tom Kitt musical recently ended its run at Boston's Colonial Theatre on October 22 and will begin previews on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre on November 20, with the official opening set for December 7.

Manuel has previously appeared on Broadway in Rent and Brooklyn . She most recently appeared as Cleo in The Times They Are A-Changin' , departing the production while it was still in previews. She also starred off-Broadway in Once Around the Sun and appeared in national tours of Les Misérables and Fame .

High Fidelity tells the story of Rob (Will Chase), a record store owner who knows almost everything there is to know about pop music, but almost nothing about how to hold on to a girl. Rob's love life, already a broken record of heartache, falls off the charts completely when he gets dumped by Laura (Jenn Colella)-but that just sets him up for one of the top five romantic comebacks ever.
