QMS fine arts students are working hard on their next project: Fame - The Musical.

"I wanted to select a show that would bring the fine and performing arts together in a big way," explained director Martina Blake. "And that is exactly what this production is

- big. Our cast consists of over 40 students (including a blend of international and day students) with additional crew and choir members involved for support. There is a huge buzz on campus about this play."

The show will hit the stage in February.

Jazz Age musical comedy in the works for Brentwood February

Edna Widenmaier, Brentwood College theatre guru and Bunch Theatre manager checked in recently with a fun note. Brentwood is performing The Boy Friend from Feb. 25-28, 2015.

"The Brentwood production team is in full swing anticipating a great run of this tongue-in-cheek musical. The Jazz Age lives on in this light romantic spoof of the 1920's musical comedy. Set against the backdrop of the Riviera, this witty send-up tells the story of a British heiress Polly who is longing for only one thing: a boyfriend. With a catchy score and wonderful dance numbers, it is a humorous anecdote to the mid-winter blues," she said.
